Evette Hester served as Executive Director of the Housing Authority of New Orleans (HANO), overseeing an operating budget of over $250 million and services for more than 40,000 residents. Led the Montgomery Housing Authority in Alabama, where she managed over $50 million in programs and spearheaded significant development and modernization initiatives. Served as Vice President of Housing Operations at the Houston Housing Authority, where she oversaw over 5,000 units and a large operational staff.  She is a member of the CHSA, Inc. board.
